quick question:
how does the loot that is in a wreck get spawned? is it just totaly random chance from the items posable to be salvaged from that type of wreck? or is there a time element involved somehow to only allow a certain amount of the good items compaired to metal scraps?
I guess what im asking is, if 20 wrecks are salvaged in 1 min, will that be the same chances as if 1 wreck is salvaged in a diferent location every 2 hours?
the obvious answers will be its all luck, but do we know if the formula is more complicated then the obvious? |

maybe there is a anti-farming component to this, at least it seems so.
no one knows? |

thanks for the info. I hope you are correct. I am not actually talking about rat wrecks, but it is most likely the same mechanic aplies.
I have found today with a lot of experimentation, i can predict the drop as being premium loot for the 1st 3-4 wrecks in 10 min or so. After that it rapidly degrades in quality. If i waite 4 hours or so it returns to premium for the first several again. my sample group consists of aprox 100 wrecks so im thinking its not enough sample data. |

you guys are all missing the point and trying to answer a question I wasnt clear in asking.
let me clear it up for you.
when I self distruct my t2 ship and then go to salvage it. my experiance has been out of 100 tries that the 1st 3-4 tries net me a premium t2 salvage item. after the first 4 tries it rapidly degrades to only giving me metal scraps. if i wait 3-4 hours i get great results for the first 4 wrecks. If i switch to a differant salvaging toon, he gets great results in the first 4 wrecks.
seems to me there is an anti-farming formula built in there somewhere.
I just really want to know how long i need to wait between runs of how many? Or is the 100 t2 ships i just blew up not enough of a sample group? my results were very consistent. |

lol, sarchasm not necessary. if you cared to do a little research you would notice the double returns on your investment. even with 62 misses and 38 hits, lol |
